Frequently asked questions

Few dishes say celebration quite like a Wellington. Our range includes the classic Beef Wellington, made with grass-fed British beef fillet, rich mushroom duxelles, and crisp golden pastry. For something a little different, our Venison Wellington brings a bold, gamey twist, while the Mini Beef Wellingtons are perfect for parties or smaller gatherings.

Finally, if you’d like something a bit different, our Salmon & Champagne En-Croûte offers a luxurious alternative to the classic beef Wellington, with tender salmon wrapped in flaky pastry. Every Wellington is hand-prepared by our expert butchers in Aberdeenshire and frozen for freshness, ready for you to cook perfectly at home.

Our Wellingtons are delivered frozen and ready to cook at home. Full cooking and preparation instructions can be found online and on the packaging.

Each Wellington has slightly different cooking guidelines, so it’s always best to check the product page for exact details.

For example, our 1kg Beef Wellington should be:

  • Brought to room temperature for 20 minutes before placing in the oven.
  • Brushed with beaten egg yolk, then baked at 210°C / fan 200°C / gas 6.

  • Medium: 40-43 minutes
