
BBQ Sauce Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 240g Heinz tomato ketchup
- 60g brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons English mustard
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 1 Large Onion Finley Diced
- 1 Red Pepper Finley Diced
- 1 Yellow Pepper Finley Diced
- 1 Orange Pepper Finley Diced
- 100 ml of good beef stock
- Smoked Salt, to taste
METHOD
- Sauté the onion, peppers, garlic and smoked paprika in a little oil until softening slightly and the paprika has cooked out, then set aside.
- Combine all the other ingredients and add to a saucepan. Bring to a slow boil and immediately lower heat. Simmer, uncovered, for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally 5 minutes before the end of the cook add the peppers, onion and garlic mixture. Store leftover sauce in a covered container in the refrigerator.
